The summaries will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee of the Congress according to relevance, methodology, originality and conclusions.

Introduction: Briefly introduce the background of the problem under study.

OBJECTIVES: Clearly state the purpose of the study, including the hypothesis or research question. Your abstract will be published in the journal Annals of Hepatology for the Congress, exactly as shown on the original received in english. ALEH will not be liable for errors contained in the original version. Abstracts may be reformatted for publication so that all have a uniform format.

METHODS: Provide design and methodology used, including relevant instruments and measurement tools. Describe the predictor variables and results and the analytical approach used to evaluate the research question. Must send a Word file, using Calibri font, size 11. Abstracts will be accepted with a maximum of 280 words (excluding title, authors and affiliation) and / or 2000 characters (including spaces between words). The title should be in capital letters and bold. Start the list of authors and affiliations on a new line. The author name should be in bold and underlined. Skip a line and start typing the body of the abstract, each section beginning on a new line, with captions exactly as outlined here. The spacing of the abstract should be 1.0 point.

RESULTS: Your abstract will be received until June 1st, 2019 at 20:00 hrs. (GMT-3). They are not summaries received by fax or mail. You will be notified by email when we receive your abstract.

CONCLUSION: To be evaluated by the Scientific Committee, the abstracts should be prepared in accordance with these instructions and the author/speaker registered at the congress.

FAQ:

What is the number of authors allowed in the submission of an abstract?
Maximum 12 authors per submitted work.

What is the policy of the Congress on the submission of abstracts presented in another congress?
We encourage the presentation of abstracts not presented in other meetings, however, we do not reject those presented in other English-speaking meetings since the official language is Spanish.

Is it necessary to present conflicts of interest?
It is required.

What is the number of words or characters allowed?
280 words (excluding title, authors and affiliations) or 2,000 words (including spaces between words).
Only 1 table or figure is allowed, and it does not count in the total word limit.

Can clinical cases be presented as abstracts?
It is allowed, however, must have scientific validity to be selected.
